Yea it always comes back to this. Labels. Why do we always feel the need (consciously or not) to place a label on an individual? Specifically, this whole hipster/internet rapper shit...When things change from how they used to be we struggle to define them so we come up with these derogatory terms to bring the change down to a level beneath us...am I the only one who sees this shit as wrong??? Why do you think there are so many "internet rappers"? It's more efficient to be heard!!! I live in Baltimore...there is NO LOCAL SUPPORT WHATSOEVER...and I don't have the money to move to a city like new york...the internet is my only option to be
heard...so if i'm just an "internet rapper" so be it. Don't fuck with me. But what I say I am is the most important thing, I am a musician regardless and I put my heart & soul into this shit...
Phonte said it best..."I love Hip Hop I just hate the niggas in it" I think if people stopped being elitist and opened up to the "change" they'd realize its not even that much different from what they like...btw my two cents on the whole Charles Hamilton shit? I fuck with homie's music, Pink Lavalamp was some deep shit that I connected with on a personal level...it influenced my sound and helped me to realize I can really put my soul into the music...so I may be a little biased. What he did was wrong, IF IT'S TRUE (I may be the only dude who thinks the video doesn't mean shit, and also finds it funny that charles backed his shit up with dates but black spade just has what he says...which doesn't really go that far honestly), but even if it is true...the venom being spewed at CH is ridiculous...and people are denying his genuine talent. Which is a crime.
Other than that I don't have anything else to say about it...Let's shake the labels people!! We're all human!! At least I'd like to believe that....

no doubt man...
I hear were you coming from. Shit, i'm originally from Baltimore too and I already know it's damn near impossible to get support in Bmore yo. I've been in New York since I was 14, so I didn't really have to deal with the whole tryna get my shit out, and there's no local support. Everybody, Baltimore in particular will fuck with you after you're on. Look at Wale, DC wasn't fucking with dude either, but i'm sure they know that he's one of their premier artists. Regardless of how they feel personally about dude. It's all good tho, if being an internet rapper gets you exposure, do it. I found out about your internet hustle from 2dopeboyz, and i'm def support you and 810. Definitely showing anybody from Bmore mad props. word.

I agree with what your saying about Baltimore. Not really much down here.
On the Charles Hamilton issue, I feel like he should have just admitted to doing it instead of lying about it. The pro tools session he posted was self ether. I still fuck with dudes music and I don't think alot of these "producers" should be saying shit about anyone jacking. I can name 5 producers people put in there top 10 that have beat jacked. I just don't think he should have lied about it.
And The Pink Lavalamp is my favorite Charles tape next to "Its Charles Hamilton".
Just showing I'm not a hater lol, I been listening to dude since July of 08 when he did his mixtape with Green Lantern
